Cancellation Policy

Plans change and Florida weather changes faster. Here is exactly how cancellations, reschedules and refunds work.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Guest cancellations

Refunds are based on how far ahead of your scheduled departure time we receive written notice:

  • 14 days or more: full refund of everything paid, including the deposit.
  • 7–13 days: full refund less the deposit, or a full-value credit valid for 12 months.
  • 48 hours – 6 days: 50% refund, or a full-value credit valid for 12 months.
  • Less than 48 hours: no refund; the charter is charged in full.

2. Rescheduling

You may move your charter to another available date once, at no fee, with at least 72 hours' notice. Reschedules inside 72 hours are subject to captain and vessel availability and may carry a fee. Price differences between seasons or vessels apply.

3. Weather

The captain or operator makes the weather call, usually the morning of your trip, based on wind, sea state, lightning, and small craft advisories. Rain alone is not grounds for a refund — Florida showers pass quickly and trips typically run.

If the captain cancels for unsafe conditions, you choose a full refund or a reschedule at no cost. If a trip is cut short for weather after departure, you receive a prorated refund for unused time beyond the first hour.

4. Operator cancellations

If a vessel becomes unavailable for mechanical or staffing reasons, we will offer a comparable vessel at the same price where possible. If you decline or nothing comparable is available, you receive a 100% refund.

5. Late arrivals and no-shows

Charters begin at the scheduled time. Please arrive 15–20 minutes early for check-in and the safety briefing. Late arrivals do not extend the charter, and time lost is not refunded. A party that has not arrived 30 minutes after departure time is treated as a no-show and is charged in full.

6. Early returns and conduct

If you choose to end a charter early, no refund is issued for unused time. Charters ended by the captain for unsafe behavior, intoxication, exceeding capacity, or violating the Terms of Service are not refundable.

7. How to cancel and when refunds land

Send your cancellation or reschedule request in writing through our contact form with your booking name and date. The timestamp of your submission determines which window applies. Approved refunds return to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

8. Listing-specific terms

Multi-day charters, holiday dates, and large-yacht bookings may carry longer notice windows. Any such terms are shown on the listing and in your booking confirmation and take precedence over this page.
