Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Suns Out Charters collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, party size, preferred date and destination, special requests, and any messages you send us when you request or confirm a booking.

Payment information. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card; we never store full card numbers on our systems.

Automatically collected information. IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location derived from your IP, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to match you with vessels, process and confirm bookings, share departure details with the captain or operator, send booking updates and safety notices, respond to your questions, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve our listings and site experience.

With your consent, we may send occasional marketing emails about new boats, destinations, and seasonal offers. You can unsubscribe from any of them with one click.

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with: the vessel owner, operator, or captain fulfilling your charter; payment processors; email, analytics, and hosting providers who work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; and law enforcement or regulators when legally required. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep the site working, and analytics cookies to understand which listings and pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking parts of the site.

5. Data retention

Booking and transaction records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal requirements — typically seven years. Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted service providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users and regulators of a qualifying breach as required by law.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, a copy in portable form, or that we stop marketing to you. Florida residents may also request details about the categories of information we collect and share. Email us to exercise any of these rights; we respond within 45 days.

8. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Minors may join charters as guests when accompanied by a parent or guardian, whose information is used for the booking.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any update here and revise the "last updated" date. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated by email where we have your address.

10. Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be submitted through our contact form. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
